Creative Arts Therapy, often called Expressive Arts therapy is a right-brained creative way of doing therapy that engages kids and teens in a whole brain way of expressing themselves. A Creative Arts therapist will use many types of art to engage and interact with the children, teens and adults they work with. Creative Art Therapy is an integrative approach that uses art, crafting, dance, poetry, music and movement to help children and teens learn. Often times, talk is not enough to create permanent change. Creative Arts Therapy is a brain based approach that helps a child or teen learn about their world and themselves in a way that promotes healing and change.
